DIY Lip & Cheek Stain.
There are a lot of lip & cheek stains on the market these days, but they can get quite expensive! Now I have a cheap and simple way to make your own DIY Lip & Cheek Stain! It’s super easy and looks just the same. Wanna know how I made it? Then keep on reading.
I always wanted a Lip & cheek stain (Benetint) from Benefit Cosmetics, but where I live it is very expensive. I love the way it looks. It looks so naturel and I love a little bit of color on my lips, so it was perfect! I didn’t have the money to buy it so I thought, why not making it myself maybe it works, and it did! I was so happy! Now I’m gonna tell you my secret on how I made my own Lip & Cheek Stain!
The things you will need:
- An empty lip gloss bottle or nail polish bottle.
- Rose water.
- Red food coloring. (you can also do pink or purple, any color you’ll like!)
I had an old lip gloss bottle laying around, it was really old so I used that. I first needed to clean it out, which was so super hard to do, OMG! It really frustrated me, the lip gloss that was inside was really sticky and thick which made it extra hard! I laid it in some hot water to loosen it up, rinsed it a couple of times with water and rubbing alcohol and finally after many times of rinsing it, it was clean! Yay, luckily it was worth the time!
Alright moving on from my frustrations! Let’s make the Lip & Cheek Stain!
Take your lip gloss tube and fill half of it with glycerine. I love how many beauty products you can make with glycerine. It’s so good for your skin! If you tend to get dry lips a lot, the glycerine will really help with that problem as well. Another reason to love this DIY Lip & Cheek Stain.
Now put a few drops of your food coloring in the bottle. If it’s not bright enough in the end, you can always add more! It’s better if you add less because you can always add more at the end, taking it away would be a lot harder to do 😉
Now put a little bit of rose water in. It’s gonna smell really nice like roses. Rose water is also very good and moisturizing for your skin!
Last step! Fill the rest of the bottle up with water. Shake it up, and test a little bit of it on the back of your hand to look if your happy with the color, if it’s too light you can add a little bit more food coloring. I am very happy with mine, it’s pretty light, but I like it that way!
Are you excited to see the results?
Here it is!! The before and after! I really like it, it gives my lips a little bit more “pop”! It turned out to be the exact color I wanted 🙂 What do you guys think? I didn’t try it on my cheeks yet, but I did on the back of my hand and it looked quite naturel, maybe I’m gonna try doing that as well one day.
