How I Edit My Instagram Photo’s!
Hi loves! Today I’m gonna share with you how I edit my Instagram photo’s! I will show you what apps I use and how I use them, so if you wanna know how I edit my Instagram photo’s then keep on reading!
I don’t really have an “instagram theme” these days. I just post whatever I like on my Insta! I like bright pictures with a cool undertone and a small white boarder. I try to make every picture I post square, but I do fail sometimes, haha! So if you wanna know how I edit them, I will teach you step by step!
Welcome to my phone, haha! I pick the photo that I like to put on my Instagram and open it in Facetune.
The first thing I do is whiten the background. This tool is my total lifesaver! Always when I take a picture with my phone it has this terrible yellow cast, especially with a white background. So I click on the whiten tool and fill in the background. See how much whiter the picture is afterwards! It’s amazing!
The next thing I like to do is giving the product a little bit more detail and sharpness. I click on the details tool and carefully wipe it over (in this case) the face mask tube. The lettering gets more clear and it jumps more out of the picture. You do need to be careful with this tool because it’s easy to overdo it!
Let’s bring in some light! I go all to the right and select the filters tool. Then I select lighting and click the second filter called lighter. With this picture 50% was good enough. With some pictures I put it way more up or down, but that depends on the picture, for this one 50% was good enough!
Alright I’m done with Facetune now. I save the picture to my camera roll and move on to the next app.
The next app I use is VSCO Cam. This is also one of my fave photo editing apps!
I open my photo in VSCO Cam and select the photo (excuse my other pics). Then I click on the editing symbol and now we can start editing!
My favorite filter is HB1. It is a bright filter with a cool undertone, exactly what I like! For this picture 12 was way too much so I clicked again on the filter and put it somewhere when I found it looked good. For this photo I went with +6.
Now that the picture has a filter I go edit some more. I again click on the editor tool and start editing.
I do some basic editing like contrast, saturation and cropping it to a square. With the HB1 filter you lose a little bit of color so I make sure to always change the saturation. Like you can see I’m totally not overdoing the editing. I only do the basic things to enhance the picture, I’m not changing the picture completely just some tweaking here and there.
Alright I’m done with VSCO. Now I save it to my camera roll again in real size, and hop to my last app.
The last app I use is called Whitagram. This is the app where I add my white boarder.
I open my photo in Whitagram and click on the little white square. You also have some standard editing tools in this app, but I like VSCO better for basic editing. I like my boarder to be white, but you can choose any color you like! I want my boarder to be all the same size, so I always put it on 10. I think it’s the perfect width.
Now that I’m happy with my picture it’s time to save it for the last time to my camera roll, and it’s ready to post on Instagram!
Here is the Before and After of the photo! Look at the difference! I know that it were a lot of steps, but you can see that even though it were a lot of steps the picture still looks like the old one, only a bit better and more polished.
I hope you all liked this post and that it was helpful! Make sure to give me a follow on Instagram (@beautyblushsam) to be part of my Insta-squad!
