Essence – Lipliners In 11 In The Nude & 06 Satin Mauve | Review.
Hello loves! Today I’m reviewing the lipliners from Essence. I have 2 shades, 11 In The Nude and 06 Satin Mauve. So if you love nude lippies and want to see some swathes then keep on reading!
Here they are! I only got 2 of them and they are both nude shades. The top one is called 11 In The Nude, this is an orange/brown nude shade. The bottom one is called 06 Satin Mauve, this is a mauve/purple nude. They are both really pretty nudes.
These lip pencils are matte, longlasting and smudge proof! I love lipliners, you get sharp lines and a matte look. Mostly I wear lipliners just on their own, but sometimes I do put a lipstick on top of it. These lipliners are almost too pretty to wear something on top!
Here I swathed them both on my arm so you can see the difference between the 2 shades. I think they are both really pretty and pigmented, what do you think?
o6 Satin Mauve is probably my favorite. I’m always looking for the perfect mauve color and I guess I found it! It looks really natural, it’s not too light or too dark and perfectly in between brown and pink.
This is what Satin Mauve looks like on my lips. It’s not patchy and nice and matte. I think it looks really pretty, in real life it’s a little bit darker than on the picture but still really pretty!
11 In The Nude is also really beautiful! It’s basically the perfect nude shade. If you have lighter skin this nude is amazing, it’s not too dark but it also doesn’t wash you out which is always my problem with nudes.
This is what In The Nude looks like on my lips. Also nice and matte and natural. This one is definitely more brown/orange toned.
In the beginning I had a little bit of trouble with these lipliners. They didn’t feel as creamy as I had hoped for, but after using them more and warming them up on my lips or on the back of my hand they were feeling really creamy and just glided over my lips. It took a bit of time but I got it to work eventually. They feel a little bit drying on the lips but I have that with all lipliners so I think it’s not Essence’s fault. They are really longlasting but when you go out for dinner they do wear off. All by all I really like these lipliners! They take a bit of work but for the price I don’t think I can be upset!
– The Essence Lipliners retail for $1.99 or €0,99.
