I’m Not Happy With My Blogging Game.

I’m Not Happy With My Blogging Game.

This is a really different post of what you guys are used to but I just want to share my thoughts. Like the title of this post already says, I’m not happy with my blogging game. Lately I’ve been struggling with my blog and you might noticed the post days I’ve missed.

I’m kinda sitting in a rot… I’m getting stressed a lot because of my post deadlines. I wanted to have a post schedule on specific days and I wanted to blog 4 times a week, but now I don’t really find much joy out of blogging because of my strict schedule.

I think it’s good to plan some stuff for a blog but being too organized isn’t fun. I have a planner for my blog laying next to me right now and every beginning of the month I plan all my blog posts for the next month. It’s nothing spontaneous basically. Also, blogging when I’m not feeling like blogging is also not helping my blog, the posts get really short and basic, but I actually just want to be more personal with you guys instead of so serious and cold. Right now I’m just not really having fun with blogging like I used to. I want to be more casual, no post schedule and just write about things I want to write. I want to find my joy back with blogging and not have the feeling that I “have to”.

Now that the weather is a lot sunnier I want to do nice things outside and not worry about going home early because I still need to write a blog post for that day. I just want to have fun and not having the pressure of my schedule. If I don’t feel like writing I just don’t and “try” not to feel guilty about it.

What is going to change you might be asking?

I’m not going to post on schedule, I’m just gonna write what I want when I want it, just like it’s supposed to be. I want my blog to be more like a diary, I want to tell you if I did something interesting, share my experiences and tips with you, share what I love, what I wear and what I feel. I want to get more personal and connect more with my viewers (you guys!). Why so serious, right? I just want to share my life and my stories with the world (so not cheesy, lol). I will still do beauty things and makeup looks and reviews because that’s of course my number one passion! I’m gonna stop my Dear Diary series unfortunately because those are the posts that stress me out the most, because I need to remember everything that I do. I’m sorry if you liked that series but I’m gonna make it much more fun now! In my Dear Diary series I tell you short things about my days, I think it would be a lot more entertaining if I pick 1 event and talk in details about it, right?

Some posts will be long, with a lot of thoughts and talking about basically nothing, but I also want to do small posts like what I’m wearing or about my makeup or nails from that day. I’m not so much of a talker so that will be a new interesting thing for me, but it’s something I really want. I want my blog to be an “outlet”, something I can come to to empty my brain and be happy, and that’s definitely something I’m gonna do from now on.

I hope you all will love the changes and the “new” Beauty-Blush, and if you have any tips or request on what you want to see I would love to hear it of course.

I think that this was it guys, I will see you all next time!

You do what makes you happy, and your readers will understand and appreciate it. I just wrote whatever whenever-with my sub box reviews, I know I have to get them done within a few days of receiving the subs but I definitely don’t give myself a deadline. This should be fun, an outlet, and cathartic at times-don’t pressure yourself, love. I’m glad that you’ve decided to just let your posts and ideas flow at your own pace ❤️❤️❤️

That’s totally true! Now that I the word is out of the way I already feel more relaxed and more positive about my blog, so I definitely think it’s going to be much better from now on. Thank you for the nice words X

I’ve made a similar change on my own blog recently! It’s important to do what is going to make you happier and less stressed. Your readers will (hopefully!) understand.

I already feel much less stressed now that I’ve said it so I think everything is going to be alright from now on! 🙂 X

I totally understand how you feel! I find that it’s best to just write when you want to and let the inspiration spark! People generally respond better to really inspired irregular content than to half-hearted but regular posts! Btw I love your blog!

Aww thank you lovely! Now that the word is out there is a weight lifted of my shoulders. I already feel more positive and happy about my blog. My ideas are flowing now which they didn’t before. I think it’s going to get a lot better from now on and a lot less stressy. Thank you for your kind words X

Do what makes you happy! Inspired, thaughtful content is way more exciting to read than content that’s half-hearted and rushed. I felt the same way a few months back when posting sometimes every single day and have slowed down my posts to make sure that I’m proud of everything that I come out with. Your content is great and I know that it’s going to get even better now! Keep blogging

Girl, you do you! It’s okay if you don’t post according to a schedule. Shooooot – I didn’t follow my schedule for a few months because things got really hectic. Honestly like you said, just blog what you want, when you want! Your loyal readers and friends will stay with you!

I really hope so! Blogging should be fun not stressing you out. I just need to take a breather and don’t take it so seriously, everything is better when you’re having fun right? 🙂 X Thank you for your support love!

Definitely blog when and about what you feel like! Blogging should be fun and a release not stressful. That’s when you know that the fun is being sucked out! I personally don’t have any bloggers blog schedule memorized. I just add my fave blogs to my WordPress reader list and just read them as new ones pop up! I’m sure your readers will still see all your posts and check for them! 😀

You’re completely right! I think the control freak in me took over a bit haha! From now on things will be much better, and I’ll see my blog as something fun and an outlet, not as a full time job that I hate! Thank you so much 🙂 X

I’m new to your blog so I don’t know what it was like before, but I always love a blog more if you see the person behind it through their writing (if that makes any sense). And you really sound unhappy with how you’ve been blogging recently so I really look forward to your new posts whenever they are posted!!
