Makeup Revolution – Pro Precision Large Oval Face Brush.
Hello beauties! Today I’m gonna review the Makeup Revolution Large Oval Face Brush. This brush is a very nice alternative for the Artis Brush, but I have a little mixed feelings about it! Wanna know more? Then keep on reading!
When it came in the mail I was so excited! It even looks pretty in the box! It almost looks like there are 3 brushes in there, haha. I wanted to try an oval brush for such a long time, it’s a real hype these days and so many people are loving it! Of course I needed to test it out for myself.
This is what the brush looks like when it’s out of the packaging. It has a plastic bendable handle, and IT’S ROSE GOLD!! I love rose gold (who doesn’t). Because it’s plastic and bendable I was really scared that it was gonna break, but after I tried it on my face I can safely say that it doesn’t break with some pressure.
The bristles are really dense and super super soft! “The design of this brush means it adapts to the shape of your face providing the most flexible movement for flawless application. Perfect for use with foundation, bronzer or finishing powder.”
I already said that I had some mixed feelings about this brush. I didn’t try bronzer or setting powder with this brush like they suggested, but I did try applying my foundation with it. Some days this brush works amazing and other days it doesn’t. It also applies some foundations well and some not. I don’t really know what to think!
It feels super soft on the skin and it is super quick and easy. My foundation in on my face and blended out just in a couple of seconds. The brush also applies the foundation well on dry patches. Most of the time dry patches become more noticeable when applying your foundation with a brush, but not with this one. The brush is quite big but I can easily go around my nose and eyes with it.
The only con with this brush is that it sometimes looks like it removes foundation on certain areas, especially under my eyes and my cheeks. Everywhere else it applies beautifully and flawless, but my under eyes and cheeks are sometimes left with no foundation on! Also washing this brush is a little more difficult and it takes ages to rinse and dry.
I do really like this brush. Maybe it’s my fault that it removes the foundation on my cheeks by pressing too hard, I don’t know, or maybe I still need to get used to it. I will definitely keep using this brush. My skin looks flawless and the coverage of the foundation is really nice because the brush doesn’t suck up a lot of product. And for the price it is totally doable and a lot cheaper than the real Artis brushes!
– The Makeup Revolution Pro Precision Large Oval Face Brush retails for $18.00 or €16,95.
