I like to do free hand nail art, but sometimes I want pretty nails without much effort. I tried a couple of nail stickers in the past, and was very happy with the results. So today I’m gonna show you how to apply them!
These are the things you will need!
These are the stickers I’m going to use today! They are white with text, I think they’re really classy looking. It needs some practice to apply them but once you get the hang of it, it will be a piece of cake! Even when you’re a pro, there are always gonna be some folds in the stickers when you apply them, but it’s not that noticeable. I actually like nail stickers more than nail polish. I am always a person that uses my hands a lot and I’ll get lot of chipping, after one day! With nail stickers, they stay nice for four days before they start to chip. So perfect!
The first step you need to do is remove your old nail polish. If you don’t have nail polish on, you still need to rub them with nail polish remover to take away any dirt or grease.
In the next step you wanna take the foil with the nail stickers on there. Place it on your nail to see which one fits the best. You can rather have a little bit of a too small one than a too big one, otherwise you need to trim it a lot after applying. Pick one that feels right to you 🙂
Carefully remove the sticker you want from the foil. Hold it a little bit away from the nail and try to find the middle and stick it on. I find it easy to first smooth out the middle and then the sides, but you need to see what works best for you! You can also start on the side and roll it on your nail.
You can see that I still have some folds, but that’s okay. Now fold the rest of the sticker over your fingertip.
Now take your nail file. File away from the nail but not too fast. File a little section at the time, ’till the nail sticker is completely separated from the nail. If your nail sticker went a little bit on your skin of the sides of your nail, you can trim that carefully away with a nail clipper.
This is what it looks like if everything is trimmed away! There are some little folds, but no one will notice.
This is the end result! Pretty nails within 10 minutes! what do you think? I must admit that this time kinda failed, there were times that it looked much better with less folds, let’s say I’m just a human. So excuse my crappy nail job today.
I hope you all liked this post! Have you tried nail stickers before? What was your experience? Let me know in the comments!
