NYX – Jumbo Eye Pencils… Worth The Hype?
Hi guys! Today I’m gonna review the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils. I have two of them; Black Bean and Milk. If you wanna know my thoughts about these pencils, then keep on reading. Are they worth the hype?
Here they are. I chose some standard colors, but I might buy some fun colors in the future as well. I have 601 Black Bean and 604 Milk. These days you see the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils everywhere, especially the one in the color Milk. Because I’ve heard so many good things about them I needed to have them!
They look very simple They’re white with a plastic cap. They are not retractable, so you do need to sharpen them, which can be a bit tricky sometimes because they’re so creamy.
Tip: Put them in the freezer for 10 minutes and then sharpen them, it won’t be as messy and you’ll lose less product!
601 Black Bean.
This is just a standard black jumbo pencil. It’s very creamy and very pigmented. You barely need to touch your skin, so for precise work you need to be really careful. I use this one to tide line and to put it on my waterline. You can use these pencils as an eyeshadow base as well, but I haven’t tried that yet with this one. Every time I put an eye pencil in my waterline, after 1 hour it’s gone. With this one that’s not the case! This one stays all day in your waterline, which it amazing. I looks pitch-black all day long!
This is a white pencil. We all know the struggle of finding a white eye pencil that truly is white and pigmented. I really understand why this one is so popular. It is like the black one sooo pigmented! It’s a little less creamy than the black one, but still a lot creamier than other pencils I’ve tried. All the white pencils I own do not work at all, this one is amazing! It looks super white in the waterline. You can use it on your eyelids, so that your eyeshadow really pops, and it’s so lovely if you wanna use it to highlight your inner corner or your brow-bone.
Here a little hand swatch. I discovered that the black one is a bit shiny and the white one is totally matte. The white one is a little thicker and more waxy than the black one. They feel a bit sticky to the touch so you do need to set them with powder. They blend very smoothly and are very long-lasting. I think these are definitely worth the hype! What do you think?
