Hi guys! Today I have another review for you guys, I’m gonna review the NYX Warm Neutrals Palette. I’ve wanted this palette for so long because it looks like the perfect palette for me with all the warm tones. When it finally came back in stock I ordered it instantly and now it’s time to show you beauties what I think of this palette. So if you want to know more then keep on reading!
And here it is! The NYX Warm Neutrals Palette! This palette is everything if you like warm toned eye looks. It has 16 eyeshadow shades in total and it got everything you’ll need, it has shimmers, base colors, crease colors and some darker ones as well, so a really versatile palette if you ask me!
The palette is a nice size, it’s not too big and not too small and perfect for traveling because of its size and versatility. The packaging is made from plastic, it’s black with a see through front. I think the packaging looks really nice but the quality feels a bit cheap, it rattles when you “shake” it. Although it does rattle it is quite sturdy and I don’t think it will fall apart though, it only feels like cheap plastic but when you look at the price I don’t blame it.
These are all the shades up close. There is a nice variety in mattes and shimmers. Some of the shades are more pigmented than others but you will see that in the swatches below.
This is the first row. The first row are all really light colors so these will be perfect as base or as a highlight. The first row was the hardest to swatch, of course they are light shades but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t show up right? The third shade swatched the best but you can see it’s more buttery. The first shade, which is a matte white one was the most difficult and I needed to dip my finger back in the pan quite a lot to get this swatch.
On to the second row. This row is a bit darker and looks a bit more warm as well. These shades were also not the best to swatch, in the whole palette the mattes were really difficult to get some pigment of, the metallics and shimmers were the most pigmented. The matte shades in this row are perfect as a transition color because they’re not too light and not too dark.
The third row is the warmest row of them all. In this row there are 2 metallics and 2 mattes. these shades were a lot better to swatch, the metallics still a bit better but it’s alright. Just look how shiny they look!
And the last row. Here again 2 mattes and 2 shimmery shadows. The last shade in the palette is the darkest of all the shades but weirdly enough it swatched differently like you can see. On the eyes it looks a bit darker but on my arm I couldn’t make it work like it looks in the pan.
Here I made a simple makeup look with this palette, I was a bit in a rush so I didn’t do much special. I do really like how they look on the eye!
On to the final verdict! I really like the whole concept of this palette, it looks really pretty and I love the range of shades they put in the palette. Unfortunately the pigmentation is a bit weak, especially on the mattes. The eyeshadows feel a bit stiff instead of soft and buttery. They do apply nicely on the eye and blend easily, they also stay on really well all day without too much creasing which always happens to me. It’s a gorgeous palette, it’s just such a shame it’s not the most pigmented! Despite that I do give this palette a thumbs up!
I hope you all enjoyed reading and I will see you all next time!
