Removing Makeup With Only Water?

Hi loves! Today I’m gonna test something special! I’m gonna test the Ecoco Cosmetic Glove, It claims it can remove all your makeup with only water! Shall we put it to the test and see if it works?

I got this “magical” little glove in my previous StyleTone box. It sounded very interesting to me, and I’m so excited to try it out and see if it really works. Also, sorry for the bad lighting photos today, it was a cloudy day ๐Ÿ™

This is what the packaging looks like, really simple. The glove is hypoallergenic, multi-functional and you can wash it more than 500 times, so it can last you a long time!

The glove feels like a soft material. It is white with a gold rim on the sides. The brand’s logo is stitched on the side. It is made of XXT-S microfibers that are well known to suck up dirt. The round hollow fibers clean deep in the pores and lifts all the oil, dirt and makeup off your face. With this product you don’t need any cleansers, just run it under water and wipe it over your face. You’re putting no chemicals on your face, so it’s better for the skin. Also if you have problems with impurities. It also acts as a mini scrub and removes dead skin.

Here a little close up ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ve tried this one on my actual face, but to really put it to the test I applied different kind of makeup on my arm to see how it removes the most hard to clean makeup!

Here is the before and after! (From left to right: foundation, concealer, bronzer, highlighter, blush, eye pencil, liquid waterproof eyeliner, mascara, dark sparkly eyeshadow, red matte lipstick and liquid lipstick).

We all know that dark/glittery eyeshadows, eyeliners and liquid lipsticks can be a bit tricky to remove, so I made it extra hard for this magical glove! Like you can see it did remove the most bits. The liquid eyeliner and liquid lipstick were the hardest to remove. Also the glitters went literally everywhere, so that’s a bit of a bummer. The darker things were also a bit difficult. overall I think it did really well for just water! Of course this is a bit different than when you have it on your face, so I tested that next!

On my actual face:

I must say that it did way better on my face! It removed my makeup really easy, even my mascara, which I always find the difficult part to completely take off! After washing my face with it I went over it with a toner to see if there was still makeup on my face (I was wearing a full face of makeup). On the pad I did see a bit of foundation but not much. I was super surprised, I never thought that it would actually work! Normally I need to try pretty hard with my cleansers to get every single part off my face, and now it removes with only water! Like what! This is what the glove looked like after removing the arm swatches!

Final verdict:

I don’t really know if I’m in love yet. Although it has a lot of pros, it does have some cons. First con is that it feels a bit rough on the skin, it doesn’t feel as soft on the skin and it doesn’t glide over your skin easily. Because it’s that rough I thought it would also give me a scrub, but that was not really the case. Also another thing I don’t like is that you actually need more then just one. After one use it is already really dirty, that means you need to throw this thing is the washing machine everyday (will it be white again??). That are the things that I don’t really like about this Cosmetic Glove. The things I do like is that it does what it says with removing the makeup with only water. You don’t need to buy any cleansers, and if you have a sensitive skin you would have no problem with this! Overall I do think it is a very nice product, and I will definitely use it more often! ๐Ÿ™‚

This sounds really similar to the Make Up Eraser. I trialled that and it was really good even though it felt a little weird. But it’s like nearly ยฃ20 and you have to wash it after each use so same as the glove, you’d need more than one. But it’s pretty good. Never heard of this, I might see how much it is!

This on is half the prize! I’ve heard of that one as well. I still don’t know what to think, because I do like to use cleansers also, they make your face feeling a lot more fresh in my opinion and I love that feeling ๐Ÿ™‚ so maybe not everyday for me! Thanks for reading! X
