The Road To Hairless Legs | Pamper Sundays #15.

Hi guys! Hope you all have a lovely Sunday! Today I’m gonna show you some methods on how to achieve hairless legs, what I think about each method, and I will tell you the pros and cons of each method! Enjoy reading!

Summer is coming, so it’s time to pull out your favorite dresses and shorts. Of course you want to have the most beautiful legs to match your summery outfit! I guess you all know how to get hair free legs, but today I’ll tell my favorite methods, and what I think is the best one. And don’t forget the pros and cons!

Shaving:

This is I think the most popular way and the quickest way of them all. It is so easy to just grab a razor and go to town on your legs! But it’s not my fave, although it’s nice when you’re in a rush and need to have beautiful legs in 5 minutes. It’s pain-free (unless you cut yourself of course). The only problem is that the hair start growing back almost the next day. It damages your skin and it can become very dry, and itchy!

Pros:

  • It’s the cheapest way.
  • It’s quick.
  • Pain free.

Cons:

  • Dry skin plus itchiness.
  • Hair grows back superfast.
  • Damaging to your skin.

Hair removal cream:

This technique I used for years! It is very easy to do, but it is a little bit messy! You only need to apply the cream and wait for 5 to 10 minutes and you scrape it off. When scraping off the cream and the hair, it can be very messy! After you have washed everything off your legs feel super smooth and you don’t have to worry about missing a patch of hair. The hair starts growing back in about 3 days, not the longest period, but it is longer than with shaving, and you can’t cut yourself.

Pros:

  • Easy to do.
  • Smoothest legs ever.
  • Hydrating.
  • Pain free and no chances of cutting yourself.

Cons:

  • Hair starts growing back in about 3 days.
  • It takes some time, applying, waiting and taking it off.
  • It is a little messy.

Wax strips:

We all know them, the pre-packaged wax strips. Super easy in use, but sometimes a little difficult to get everything off in smaller areas, because it’s just one size. This method does hurt. I have quite a high pain tolerance, so for me it’s not that bad, but for some people it’s unbearable! The hair stays away for about 2 weeks, so that’s quite decent. This method does take a while, maybe 30 minutes or so, but if you’re not in a hurry it will be just fine! You also might get some red bumps on you legs (from pulling out the hair), but it will fade in a few hours.

Pros:

  • Hair stays away for a decent time.
  • It’s easy, everyone can do it.
  • It’s pre-packaged, so no preparations needed.

Cons:

  • It takes some time.
  • It can be painful.
  • It’s just one size so a bit difficult to get smaller areas done.
  • It will leave some red bumps.

Sugar waxing:

I just started with sugar waxing, and it’s my favorite method right now! It is the most expensive method I think, but the results are amazing! You do need some preparation heating up the wax. You can decide for yourself how big you want the patch to be. It takes a little longer than the pre-packaged ones, but the hair will stay away much longer, I guess about 4 weeks! This method also can be a little messy. When the hair grows back it’s way thinner and a little less. It also leaves red bumps, those stayed on my legs for one day or so, so not a good method if you have an event in the evening. And of course it can be a little painful.

Pros:

  • You don’t have to worry about your legs for 4 weeks or so.
  • The hair grows back thinner and less hairy.
  • You can decide how big you want the patches to be.

Cons:

  • Again painful.
  • Red bumps that stay for a day.
  • It does take a while getting it done.
  • It is a bit messy.

My favorite way is sugar waxing, the hair stays away the longest and when it grows back there is less hair and the hairs are a bit thinner. I don’t like the pre-packaged wax strips, because it takes quite some time but not the best results. Hair removal creams comes at second. it’s easy and your legs are so soft afterwards! I only shave my legs when I don’t have much time, but it’s not my fave!

I hope you all enjoyed reading this post and I will see you lovelies all next time!
